The present invention relates to a folding apparatus for manufacturing a stack/folding-type electrode assembly in which unit cells are sequentially stacked, wherein a separation film is interposed between the unit cells. The folding apparatus comprises: a web supply unit which supplies a web in which plate-type unit cells are arranged at a predetermined interval on a separation film; a winding jig which holds a first unit cell of the web, and which rotates the unit cells such that the unit cells are sequentially stacked and the separation film is interposed between the unit cells; and a rotating shaft correction unit which corrects the location of a rotating shaft of the winding jig in a web-proceeding direction (X-axis direction), wherein the rotating shaft correction unit periodically varies the location of the rotating shaft to the scale that enables compensation for a variation in the X-axis velocity (Vx) of the web that occurs during the winding of the plate-type unit cells.

The present invention provides a device for notching, which is a device for notching an electrode sheet in intervals corresponding to the distance between unit electrodes, for manufacturing a plurality of unit electrodes from the electrode sheet which is continuous and is coated on one side or both sides with electrode active material, and comprises: a press for punching notches on the upper end and the lower end of the electrode sheet while the electrode sheet is fixed in a position; and two or more grippers, which are located behind the press based on the direction in which the electrode sheet is supplied, for receiving and transferring the electrode sheet, one pitch at a time according to the movement of the press, the one pitch being a size which corresponds to the unit electrode, wherein when one gripper from the grippers receives and transfers the electrode sheet, the other grippers move to a receiving position.

The present invention provides a device for transferring unit cells, which is a device for aligning and transferring unit cells to a folding device in a continuous process of manufacturing a stacked/folding type electrode assembly having a structure in which plate-shaped unit cells are rolled in separation films, and comprises: a unit cell supply portion for consecutively supplying the unit cells; a position inspection unit for transmitting an image signal, which is obtained by capturing the position of the unit cells in the unit cell supply unit, to a control portion; the control portion for confirming the alignment of the unit cells based on the image signal that is received from the position inspection portion, and for controlling the operation of grippers; two or more grippers for receiving the unit cells, one unit at a time, which are supplied from the unit cell supplying portion, and for correcting the position of the unit cells according to a position correction signal from the control portion and then delivering same to a transferring portion; and a unit cell transferring portion for delivering the unit cells to a folding device.

The present invention provides to a method for manufacturing a battery cell, which is a method for manufacturing a battery cell having an electrode assembly and electrolyte embedded inside a battery case made from a laminate sheet including a resin layer and a metal layer, and comprises the following steps: (a) sealing areas excluding the end of one of the outer circumferential surfaces of the battery case by heat-fusing while the electrode assembly is mounted on the battery case; (b) injecting the electrolyte via the end that is unsealed and sealing the end by heat-fusing; (c) activating the battery cell by charging and discharging; (d) punching a through-hole which communicates with the inside of the battery case on the unsealed portion on the inside of the end; and (e) applying vacuum by pulling open in opposite directions the upper surface and the lower surface of the battery case at the unsealed portion, and removing gas, which is generated from the step of activating, and surplus electrolyte.

The present invention provides a device for laminating, which is a device for laminating by means of thermal bonding of an electrode assembly having a structure in which an anode and a cathode are consecutively stacked with a separation film therebetween, and comprises: an inlet portion into which a web having a structure in which the anode, the separation film, and the cathode are stacked; a heating portion for heating the web and inducing thermal bonding between the anode, the separation film, and the cathode; a discharge portion for discharging the thermal bonded web; and a transferring portion for transferring the web via the inlet portion, the heating portion, and the discharge portion, wherein the transferring portion provides transfer driving force to the web while being in contact with either the upper surface or the lower surface of the web, and wherein the heating portion directly heats the area where the transferring portion contacts the web, so as to deliver energy for thermal bonding to the web.

The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a battery cell, which is a method for manufacturing a battery cell having an electrode assembly and electrolyte embedded inside a battery case made from a laminate sheet including a resin layer and a metal layer, and comprises the following steps: (a) sealing areas excluding the end of one of the outer circumferential surfaces of the battery case by heat-fusing while the electrode assembly is mounted on the battery case; (b) injecting the electrolyte via the end that is unsealed and sealing the end by heat-fusing; (c) activating the battery cell by charging and discharging; (d) punching a through-hole, which communicates with the inside of the battery case on the unsealed portion, on the inside of the end; and (e) applying vacuum by pulling open in opposite directions the upper surface and the lower surface of the battery case at the unsealed portion, and removing gas, which is generated from the step of activating. and surplus electrolyte.

The present invention relates to a folding apparatus for manufacturing a stack/folding-type electrode assembly in which unit cells are sequentially stacked, wherein a separation film is interposed between the unit cells. The folding apparatus comprises: a web supply unit which supplies a web in which plate-type unit cells are arranged at a predetermined interval on a separation film; a winding jig which holds a first unit cell of the web, and which rotates the unit cells such that the unit cells are sequentially stacked and the separation film is interposed between the unit cells; and a Y-axis direction rotating shaft correction unit which corrects the location of a rotating shaft of the winding jig in a vertical direction (Y-axis direction) with respect to a web-proceeding direction, wherein the Y-axis direction rotating shaft correction unit periodically varies the location of the rotating shaft in the vertical direction (Y-axis) with respect to the web-proceeding direction (X-axis) such that the vertical amplitude of the web can be minimized during winding.
