Tools are changed in wood-working machines by moving a head (18) by means of a transport device from a tool take-up position in which a tool fixed on a sleeve-shaped locking means is taken up and clamped in the head (18) which is then moved towards and onto a tool spindle in the machine so that the locking means is mounted on the spindle. A nozzle (39) in the head (18) is activated for the supply of pressure medium to the locking means for locking it on the spindle, whereupon the clamping engagement of the head (18) with the locking means is suspended, and the head (18) is removed. When the locking means with the tool should be removed from the spindle, the head (18) is placed on the locking means, thereby to act on an actuating pin of a relief valve in the locking means, whereby the pressure clamping the locking means to the spindle is relieved, such that the head (18) by clamping engagement can pull the locking means with the tool off the spindle in order thereafter to deliver another locking means with a new tool. <img id="iaf01" file="imgaf001.tif" wi="75" he="70" img-content="drawing" img-format="tif" />

The x-ray target assembly (22) comprises an x-ray target member (24) having an opening (27) disposed therethrough and a support member (28) having: a mounting surface (30) disposed transversely to the axis (32) of rotation, a lower surface (29) of the target member (24) being disposed on the mounting surface (30); and, a threaded stem (53) extending from said mounting surface (30) through the opening (27). The support member (28) also comprises a nut (54) receiving the threaded stem (53) and engaging an upper surface (26) of the target member (24). Brazing material (36) is disposed between the lower surface (29) and the mounting surface (20), a first portion (37) of the brazing material (36) being diffused into the target member (24) and a second portion (39) into the mounting surface (30). APPARATUS FOR INSPECTING SURFACE FLAW OF FLANGE

PURPOSE:To achieve the labor saving in inspection work, by constituting the title apparatus so that a running vehicle runs on the surface of a flange having stud bolts vertically implanted therein and a cable processing device inspects the surface flaw of the flange while paying-out and taking-up a cable with running of the running vehicle. CONSTITUTION:A running vehicle 4 has wheels 9 on the surface 1a having stud bolts 2 vertically implanted therein of a flange 1 and a magnet roller is provided to the side surface of the surface 1a and the running vehicle 4 runs outside the row of the bolts 2. The grippers of the stud bolt grasping mechanisms 5 mounted on the running vehicle 4 grasp the adjacent bolts 2 on every other bolt 2 and arm mechanisms 8 are allowed to protrude between the bolts 2 opposed to the end part of the vehicle body of the running vehicle 4 and a seal surface 1b is irradiated by an illuminator 7 and the flaw of the seal surface 1b is inspected by an ITV camera 6. A cable 10 is payed-out and taken-up with the movement of the running vehicle 4 by a cable processor 14 through a control apparatus 11. The image signal of the camera 6 is applied to an image processor 12 through the cable 10 and the apparatus 11 to perform processing for extracting the flaw of the seal surface 1b and the flaw is judged from the result of image processing by a flaw judging device 13.
