The method comprises the following steps: mixing 1,5-pentanediamine, water and diacid at the temperature of 65°C to 120°C, so as to prepare the nylon salt, the weight of water accounting for 2 wt% to 12 wt% of the total weight of the 1,5-pentanediamine and the diacid. The present invention further provides a nylon salt. The nylon salt preparation method provided in the present invention avoids the incomplete reaction between the 1,5-pentanediamine and the diacid due to the solid state of the nylon salt during the preparation process, significantly improves the reaction rate, greatly reduces the reaction time, enables the residual amounts of the diamine and the diacid in the nylon salt to be at a very low level, and makes the finally obtained nylon salt product in a solid state, thereby facilitating the storage and transport of the nylon salt product.
