Method and apparatus for producing sodium perborate monohydrate by dehydrating sodium perborate tetrahydrate in a fluid bed with heated air. Contact surfaces are arranged inside the fluid bed whose total area is the same as up to 500 times the area of the approach-flow bottom of the fluid bed. The contact surfaces are advantageously designed as heat exchangers whose surface temperature is adjusted to maintain 90.degree. to 110.degree. C. at the contact surfaces. The method results in a sodium perborate monohydrate with especially high abrasion resistance. In addition, the energy requirement is lower than that provided in the previously known method commonly used in the industry.

The connection of the stabiliser pieces (1, 2) of a two-piece stabiliser to an actuator is generally achieved by means of a positive-fit, whereby an additional axial securing and a hydraulic seal to the outside is necessary. According to the invention, in order to simplify the construction and the assembly procedure the toothing between the outer rotating piece (4) and the second stabiliser piece (2) is embodied without play and is welded by means of a circumferential welded seam (18). The joint region is pre-heated to a temperature of 350° C and then cooled to give a martensite concentration in the material of 30 %.

The present invention presents a procedure to manufacture an animal food supplement, based on fermentation broth, wherein supplement contains a fermentation product, and completely or substantially contains another fermentation broth contents, characterized in that fermentation broth is granulated, compacted and dried in a step in a fluidized bed, while enough energy quantity for adjustment of a grain desired diameter and of stacked powder desired density is being supplied by mechanical means in fluidized bed, additionally to power required for fluidized bed production. Thereby achieving, among other things, to continuously manufacture, in a single procedure step, additive granulates according to specification such as lysines, thionine or tryptophane, by particular use of fermentation raw broths as starting material.
