US of the Invention A venting unit is inserted in a press fit within the air vent of a rubber article forming mold and is comprised of a cylindrical body member with an axial bore having a reduced outer end section with an air inlet open to the mold cavity. The junction of the reduced outer end section with the main section of the bore is defined by a shoulder that provides a rubber severing member. Any uncured rubber which, during expansion of the rubber article to its final form that may be compressed into the reduced section expands on entering the main bore section and is severed at the shoulder on removal of the formed article from the mold cavity. The diameter of the reduced bore section relative to its axial length provides for the unexpanded rubber that adheres to the removed article being of a relatively minute size so as to form with the exterior surface of the article a substantially smooth and continuous surface.

The degree of compression may be as much as 50% or more. In a preferred embodiment, the bag encloses the compressed articles and exhibits a substantially rectilinear shape. The bag preferably includes an integral carrying handle. The side, front, and back panels of the bag are subject to tension imposed by the articles. The top of the bag is closed by forming inwardly folded side gussets and sealing the vertically extending portions of the front and back panels to one another. A continuous line of weakness spanning a tensioned side wall of the bag and continuing into the closed uppermost end of the bag is provided. The portion of the line of weakness in the uppermost end of the bag is located near the innermost portions of the opposed inwardly folded side gussets such that the bag may be easily opened by grasping the outermost edge of the top of the bag and partially separating or completely removing the corner of the bag, along with the included side gusset, along the continuous line of weakness. Partial separation or complete removal of a portion of the tensioned side panel of the bag allows the coinciding portion of the stack of compressed articles to project in fan-like array through the aperture to permit easy one-at-a-time removal.

When a phase conflict is detected among the derived lower bit rate signals, all the data columns of at least one of the derived lower bit rate signals are given a predetermined delay by means of a shift register, and the derived signals are multiplexed into the second higher bit rate transmission frame. When a first higher bit rate transmission frame asynchronous with the system frame is detected, a pointer is derived which pointer represents a predetermined information unit within the derived lower bit rate signal. The derived pointer is inserted into a time slot corresponding to the frame pattern position of the second higher bit rate transmission frame for the lower bit rate signal. Thereafter, the derived signals are multiplexed.

In one form the device consists of a pleated collapsible tube with an extended length from the open end to the closed end of at least approximately twice the length of the erect mature human male penis. The additional length allows the penis to move relative to the prophylactic device during copulation, with the prophylactic device remaining stationary with respect to the wall of the female vagina. In another form the device is characterized by an inwardly folded sleeve that engages the penis and provides for sealing and an excess length that allows for movement of the end of the penis relative to the device when in use. The method is characterized by relative movement between the glans of the penis and the membrane of the device during use thereof.
